Roles and Responsibilities

Job Description - IT Advisor - SFAC (National Agriculture Market (e-NAM))

Qualification: Graduate / Postgraduate in Engineering or other Sciences

Work Experience: 10+ years of post-qualification relevant work experience in working through the design, development and deployment of n-tier customized IT applications including open-source technology stack

Location: New Delhi

Role and Responsibilities:

  • - Monitoring and reviewing Compliance for Application and IT infrastructure as per contract, by vendor and sharing findings or deviations with Client through weekly and monthly meetings and report.
  • - Study the utilization report of IT infrastructure and make recommendations.
  • - Monitor of SLA report for tools installed in project to review compliance of SLAs.
  • - Analyze new requirements of the project and assess the impact of the same on tools deployed.
  • - Recommend the quarterly payment of the vendor to the client based on the SLAs.
  • - Conduct periodic review of tools, identify gaps, and recommend new thresholds.
  • - Vetting the Change Requests created by SI for functionality, effort, and scope.
  • - Review technical and functional requirements submitted by vendor Vs Client requirements
  • - Provide guidance to vendor to achieve the functional objective
  • - Review Application functionality post implementation or during pilot run
  • - Identify process gaps in lifecycle and propose process improvements
  • - Review and Identify gaps/issues with current MIS reports and suggest
  • - Review and monitoring of Tool Reports for application and share the findings or deviations with the Client through weekly and monthly meetings and reports
  • - Coordination with vendor, NIC and other stakeholders for monitoring of issues related to e-NAM application and infrastructure.
  • - Review of System Requirement Specifications (SRS), Functional Requirement specification (FRS) & Process Design documents.
  • - Preparation of draft response on IT-related matters as received from various stakeholders.

Relevant Experience Requirement:

  • - Knowledge of entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • - Experience of 2-3 IT project implementations
  • - Knowledge of HTML/CSS and JavaScript
  • - Knowledge of My SQL, and other open-source languages
  • - Understanding of Database Management systems, API and Web services-based integrations hosted on Application Servers
  • - Understanding of deployment architecture, Network Management Monitoring tools and IT infrastructure for web applications hosted on cloud
  • - Analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics
  • - Working knowledge of excel for Data Analysis
  • - Good written, verbal, listening, communicating skills


  • - Prior work with Government or PSU
  • - Awareness of mobile application development
  • - Awareness of Analytical and BI technologies/tools
  • - Relevant Industry Certifications
