Ministry of Mines
The Ministry of Mines, Government of India as a policy decision felt a need to develop “Mining Tenement System (MTS)” and nominated IBM as the Purchaser for the project. The proposed system of MTS will facilitate the entrepreneur to identify the suitable areas for various types of mineral concessions that are mining tenements viz. Reconnaissance Permit (RP), ML, PL-CUM-ML and Non-exclusive RP through web based technology services and enable IBM and State Governments to monitor and manage the mining activities. The web-based system would integrate with Geographical Information System (GIS), so that information could be shown spatially in the form of maps as a service to the end users. The system will also facilitate the functioning of IBM in terms of mines inspection, on-line returns from different stakeholders, data collection etc.
Ministry of Corporate Affairs
Ministry of Corporate Affairs has been receiving requests from government and non-government agencies, research institutes, individual researchers etc. for updated, authentic company level information in the complete enumeration frame. To effectively meet this demand it is necessary that raw data undergoes processes like data cleaning, data pre-processing, business intelligence/ data mining and data analytics.
The main objective of this project is to establish a Business Intelligence / Data Mining Resource Facility which will extract and convert the statutory information stored in MCA21 database into statistical information for proactive data sharing and analytics.
Ministry Of Commerce
The mandate of the Department of Commerce is regulation, development and promotion of India’s international trade and commerce through formulation of appropriate international trade & commercial policy and implementation of the various provisions thereof. The basic role of the Department is to facilitate the creation of an enabling environment and infrastructure for accelerated growth of international trade. The Department formulates, implements and monitors the Foreign Trade Policy which provides the basic framework of policy and strategy to be followed for promoting exports and trade. The Trade Policy is periodically reviewed to incorporate changes necessary to take care of emerging economic scenarios both in the domestic and international economy. Besides, the Department is also entrusted with responsibilities relating to multilateral and bilateral commercial relations, Special Economic Zones, state trading, export promotion & trade facilitation, and development and regulation of certain export oriented industries and commodities.
Ministry of Rural Development
The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) has embarked upon DISHA Project, which seeks to promote participative governance and deliberative democracy. DISHA seeks to achieve recently formed District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) replacing the old District Development Co-Ordination and Monitoring Committee for better co-ordination among all the levels of elected representatives in Parliament, State Legislatures and Local Governments (Panchayati Raj Institutions) to have a more coordinated, efficient and time bound development. The recently formed DISHA is broad and covers many Ministries; it has been felt that a team of technical resources, call centre executives, and IT System/Infrastructure along with implementation team will be required for giving concrete shape to the concept of DISHA.
MyGov platform is a unique path breaking initiative which was launched on July 26, 2014 by none other than the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. It is a unique first of its kind participatory governance initiative involving the common citizen at large. The idea of MyGov brings the government closer to the common man by the use of online platform creating an interface for healthy exchange of ideas and views involving the common citizen and experts with the ultimate goal to contribute to the social and economic transformation of India. In its short span of existence till date, MyGov platform has been more than successful in keeping the citizens engaged on important policy issues and governance, be it Clean Ganga, Girl Child Education, Skill Development and Healthy India to name a few. There is no doubt that this platform has made inroads in diminishing the gap which has traditionally existed between the citizen and the government.
MyGov platform has become a key part of the policy and decision making process of the country. Where the platform has been able to provide the citizens a voice in the governance process of the country and create grounds for the citizens to become stakeholders not only in policy formulation and recommendation bit but also implementation through actionable tasks.
National AIDS Control Organization
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) oversees the implementation of policies and programs for health and health care in the country. While the responsibility for the delivery of healthcare services rests largely with the State Governments, the Central Government sets policies and provides resources for the implementation of nationally formulated Programs.
National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare envisions an India where every person living with HIV has access to quality care and is treated with dignity. In order to achieve the goal of, “halting and reversing the epidemic”, the focus is laid on prevention, care, support and treatment efforts.
National AIDS Control Programme (NACP), takes measures to ensure that people living with HIV have equal access to quality health services by fostering close collaboration with NGOs, women’s self-help groups, faith-based organisations, positive people’s networks and communities. NACO stands committed to building an enabling environment wherein those infected and affected by HIV play a central role in all responses to the epidemic.
National Intelligence Grid
National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID) is an attached office of the Ministry of Home Affairs; it is mandated to collect data from select sources, contextualize the same and provide intelligence support to law enforcement and intelligence agencies. NATGRID is a first of its kind project conceived to enhance India’s anti-terror capabilities. In order to achieve its mandate, NATGRID needs to leverage the national capacity and attract best in-class technology and functional talent from the private sector, for its design, development and operations.
National Internet Exchange of India
National Internet Exchange of India is a not for profit Organization under section 25 of the Companies Act 1956, and was registered on 19th June, 2003. NIXI was set up for peering of ISPs among themselves for the purpose of routing the domestic traffic within the country, instead of taking it all the way to US/Abroad, thereby resulting in better quality of service (reduced latency) and reduced bandwidth charges for ISPs by saving on International Bandwidth. NIXI is managed and operated on a Neutral basis, in line with the best practices for such initiatives globally.
Since 2005, NIXI also manages the .IN Registry.
