Roles and Responsibilities

Job Overview

o Data Analyst (MIS Excel Specialist) will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and gather and interpret data from various sources. His/her responsibilities include the deep analysis of data and then determining the best way to represent it visually with desired data insights

o He/she will also ensure quality assurance and process documentation and define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Another important duty of a data analyst is to assess and determine the success of specific initiatives. He/she should be extremely detail-oriented and should be able to explain large amounts of information in a simple, organized manner.

Responsibilities and Duties

Work independently after being given direction by senior stakeholders

Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems

Use Excel Macros, Excel Formulas & functions, Pivot tables and other means to analyses, segment, identify trends and bring meaningful insights in the form of Tables, Charts, Correlation,

Understand, interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports as requested by stakeholders

Responding to data-related queries and keeping track of these

Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

Work with management to prioritize business and information needs

Producing reports and charts communicating trends within data

Presenting information generated from data to managers and key stakeholders.

Educational

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or

related field


Certification

Statistical data analysis techniques for predictive analytics or similar

Data Analysis with Excel

Excel VBA Macro Training


Work Experience

At least 6 years of relevant experience is preferred

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, understand, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Strong math skills and business acumen

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)

An understanding of the ethics of gathering and working with data


Soft Skills

Ability to work independently with minimum guidance.

Good time management and organizational skills

Ability to foster a cooperative work environment with cross functional team

Problem-solving skills

Should have a methodical and logical approach

Ability to plan work and meet deadlines
