Roles and Responsibilities

Job Overview

Contract Manager will oversee all aspects of DoP’s contract formation, negotiations, obligations, and implementation. The duties include advising management, negotiating contracts, and supervising the implementation of contracts for optimal efficiency. He/she shall supervise and manage the contract team and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors. Contract Management Head shall also advise procurement teams during purchasing negotiations. He/she shall also act as the point of contact between DoP and its vendors and contractors. Contract Management Head also shall scrutinize, oversee, reconcile, and forward invoices for approval to DoP. He/she shall work with legal, business and

communications teams.


Responsibilities and Duties

Ensure that every contract signed by DoP contributes to its goals and objectives.

Negotiates and manages all the contracts of DoP to ensure that the organization signs beneficial deals.

Understand the requirements of any contract or agreement DoP is entering and advise DoP on how to get the most favorable terms and conditions.

Studying the requirements, duties, and obligations of DoP under contracts to ensure alignment with DoP’s goals and industry regulations.

Developing and maintain relationships with both new and existing independent contractors, vendors, suppliers, and customers.

Creating standard contracts that DoP can use in its dealings with internal and external partners.

Write order forms, sales agreements, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).

Ensure that parties adhere to terms, regulatory requirements, and

company policies.

Improve and streamline a DoP’s contracting process, so it becomes more efficient.

Supervising contract execution to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Monitoring the implementation and performance / service level agreements of signed contracts.

Training, supervising, and managing the contract team.

Maintaining, updating, and improving contractual records.


Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, administration or management or the higher national degree equivalent that includes contract law


Certification

PMP

Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) preferred


Work Experience

At least 12 years of experience in drafting, negotiating, managing, and implementing contracts and agreements is preferred

Working knowledge of local and international (if required) contract laws and corporate policies.

Expert in understanding of the Service level agreements in an IT enterprise setup and understanding of Penalty calculation

Strong research skills and an in-depth understanding of financial analytics and legal agreements.

Exceptional negotiation, persuasion, and judgment skills.


Soft Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

In-depth knowledge of the company’s core industry, policies, procedures, and objectives.

Leadership and management skills.

Strong presentation skills.

Attention to detail, thoroughness, and mathematical abilities.
